NICARAGUA BOUND!

Screen Shot 2015-07-20 at 3.54.10 PM

i am currently on a plane to nicaragua with three of my girlfriends. i’ve been to costa rica many years ago (ha, remember this scary story?! other than that we had an absolutely amazing trip!) nicaragua is right above costa rica and it’s supposed to be beautiful.

i’m looking forward to a few days of best friend time by the ocean, morning yoga, exploring the shops, and taking it easy for a few days. you can follow my adventures

NEW ORLEANS TRAVEL GUIDE

i’ve been wanting to go to for a looooong time. it’s one of those U.S. cities on my bucket list that i just never got around to visiting. i was asked by the to come stay for 4 days and tell people my favorite things to do there. they are all about everyone having whether it’s families, young people, or even someone like me. they were super cool and let me plan the trip how i would like to plan it (and you guys were so helpful in that too!) so that i could genuinely tell you what i would recommend doing when you visit. so here it goes…

i brought my friend anna along (one of my long time best friends since i was 16 and my cali neighbor!) we stayed at the it was in a really great location, quiet but a very close walk to all the action in the french quarter. comfortable rooms and nice service. all the hotels in the area seemed to have a very traditional vibe to them. our first night we decided to just walk around the vibrant  (new orleans’ oldest neighborhood) and get our bearings. i loved looking at all the historic architecture, plant filled balconies, and tiny charming alleys.

TRAVELING TO BERLIN / PART TWO

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

you can find part 1 of my berlin guide right here. today i wanted to show you the rest of the places i’d recommend visiting if you are in berlin! of course there are so many places we probably missed due to time, but i really loved a lot of the spots we were able to see.

jen, jesse, and i all had one day together in berlin before jen flew back to LA. we mostly stayed close to home, hit up the neighborhood coffee shop and then had dinner at (which was delicious!)

jesse and i had brunch at . love their minimalist decor and their food! the weather was very mixed in berlin. one minute it was warm enough to wear no coat or jacket, and the next we were all bundled up. very hard to predict.

was somewhere we visited 4 or 5 times. a short walk from our apartment and delicious coffee! they serve you out of this green window in a small charming alley.

we wanted to check out in the . we knew it would be pretty crazy expensive, but it was so beautiful to just wander through. they have a cute little beauty parlor, cafe and work tables. (you don’t have to be a member to go in the store)

TRAVELING TO BERLIN / PART 1

IMG_9243

hey guys! happy friday. the last stop on my european trip was berlin. i was there for about 2 weeks, and my two friends jen and jesse each spent a week with me there. we rented this apartment (see here) in kreuzberg and wandered around eating, drinking and all sorts of other things. this is part 1 of 2 of what we did while in berlin!

we were used to walking a lot or taking ubers in amsterdam, so when we got to berlin and realized it’s actually very big and ubers aren’t really available, we decided to take the train a lot. i really loved the train there, so easy and quick. definitely try it. berlin is interesting and very hard to explain actually. i wouldn’t say it’s a picturesque location, but it has a “cool” vibe almost everywhere we went. graffiti all over the streets, but gorgeous white interiors and minimalist decor. it’s full of contrast like that! it has a huge design focus, and you will always see people stylishly working on their laptops in the trendy cafes. and just wait till the next post when i talk about how i saw over 100 people naked!
