TRAVELING TO BERLIN / PART TWO

Processed with VSCOcam with c1 preset

you can find part 1 of my berlin guide right here. today i wanted to show you the rest of the places i’d recommend visiting if you are in berlin! of course there are so many places we probably missed due to time, but i really loved a lot of the spots we were able to see.

jen, jesse, and i all had one day together in berlin before jen flew back to LA. we mostly stayed close to home, hit up the neighborhood coffee shop and then had dinner at (which was delicious!)

jesse and i had brunch at . love their minimalist decor and their food! the weather was very mixed in berlin. one minute it was warm enough to wear no coat or jacket, and the next we were all bundled up. very hard to predict.

was somewhere we visited 4 or 5 times. a short walk from our apartment and delicious coffee! they serve you out of this green window in a small charming alley.

we wanted to check out in the . we knew it would be pretty crazy expensive, but it was so beautiful to just wander through. they have a cute little beauty parlor, cafe and work tables. (you don’t have to be a member to go in the store)

TRAVELING TO BERLIN / PART 1

IMG_9243

hey guys! happy friday. the last stop on my european trip was berlin. i was there for about 2 weeks, and my two friends jen and jesse each spent a week with me there. we rented this apartment (see here) in kreuzberg and wandered around eating, drinking and all sorts of other things. this is part 1 of 2 of what we did while in berlin!

we were used to walking a lot or taking ubers in amsterdam, so when we got to berlin and realized it’s actually very big and ubers aren’t really available, we decided to take the train a lot. i really loved the train there, so easy and quick. definitely try it. berlin is interesting and very hard to explain actually. i wouldn’t say it’s a picturesque location, but it has a “cool” vibe almost everywhere we went. graffiti all over the streets, but gorgeous white interiors and minimalist decor. it’s full of contrast like that! it has a huge design focus, and you will always see people stylishly working on their laptops in the trendy cafes. and just wait till the next post when i talk about how i saw over 100 people naked!

TRAVEL / CHAMPAGNE FRANCE

i have visited paris (here and more recently here) and the south of france (here), but have never ventured to the champagne area! after a few days in paris, . an adorable town that i had no idea about!

the train station sits conveniently right near the town. it felt like we walked onto a movie set! i can’t believe people really live in these charming little places. we had a guide from the champagne tourism office who took us around everywhere and showed us the sights. in all of the cabins on international flights they serve free champagne, so they wanted us to see the origin of where they get their champagne. let’s just say we weren’t complaining about that.

HOW TO PACK!

hey guys! i got a lot of comments asking if i could do a packing post from my trip, so i decided to choose berlin. it was my last stop and the most fresh in my mind. berlin has a very sporty style overall and lacks a lot of color. the people look so chic and put together, but always in a very simple way. tennis shoes everywhere since there is so much walking. long black coats, nice materials, functional but beautiful…let me show you what i would pack (and a lot of these items i did have with me!)

shop above:  (the smoothest rolling suitcase), backpack.

shop above:   socks, for daytime comfort, that go with almost everything, a pair of fancier sandals from , and the perfect black ankle boots from for night outfits.

an interesting white top from , a striped shirt from ., solid color linen t-shirts from are my favorite, a grey sweatshirt from for comfy days, a for a more refined look, and a fun

shop above:  dress up or down this black dress from , head to the museums in this , eat all you want in those elastic band wide leg trousers from , and a pair of black always comes in handy.

shop above:  you will see everywhere in berlin, a for colder days, my favorite low rise thongs from , and a nice bra from . a dotted scarf for layering, and , the best bobbi pins from , a crossbody clutch i wore the whole time from , and a that kept my phone charged up always.
