    I usually read before bed to help me unwind 🙂

    Every night I come home and plop myself down on my bed. I live in a small studio in Los Angeles so we don’t really have a couch. We sit on our bed. We eat on our bed. And once in a while we sleep on our bed. My nighttime ritual consists of a phone call to my mom who lives in San Antonio, Texas. After that, I like to scroll through Netflix to see if there’s anything good that I haven’t already seen. If not, I’ll look to my bookshelf for a good book. Most of my books are halfway read so it’s never a problem. I just pick up where I left off and eventually doze off.

    I like to wind down with some Netflix (lately it’s Friends). Afterwards, I’ll brush my teeth, wash my face and apply face cream. Then I lay down with a book, but usually only make it about two pages before I pass out!

    Besides the usual brushing of teeth, my nighttime ritual starts my dogs getting cozy in the bed. It takes them both quite some time to figure out just where they want to cuddle me (the puppy usually takes lying across my neck). And then we all snuggle until we’re fast asleep.

    I’m a new mom so my nighttime ritual, after getting baby to sleep, is usually to wash my face (i.e. use a baby wipe, which is better than nothing), then check up on emails and blogs. Finally, I fall asleep to whatever documentary my husband chooses for the night.

    I work late, so my night time ritual involves leaving work at 11:30 to get home at about 11:50. Then I take off my makeup and get in bed and browse the internet or read a book for a little while. I try to got o sleep as early as possible after work but sometimes it can be hard to wind down and I don’t have the energy to do a full blown night time routine.

    My boyfirend and I are all about watching Amazon prime movies and tv shows. I’d do my loooonnggg night time routine of getting my make up off, washing my face doing a face scrub, putting a face mask on and finishing off with eye cream and lotion. We’d jump into bed and read a book or brows on my phones. But the best is when we just talk for hours before getting some shut eye.

    Nice mattress! 🙂 🙂 The nighttime routine here is as follows: after our daughter goes to bed, my husband and I stay up for another hour, chatting, playing a card game or watching Netflix (I’m in the middle of “Parks and Recreation”), then while he’s letting the dog out for the last time for the night, I wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I crawl into bed with a book (right now it’s “Yes Please” – my world is mostly Amy Poehler and it’s a good place to be!) then drift off to sleep. It’s not a glamorous routine but it’s a comforting one. 🙂

    my evening routine is pretty much the same each night because my husband and I both get up at 5:30 each morning. We come home, make dinner and talk about our day, we take a family walk to take the dog out, get in bed and watch an episode or two of whatever Netflix show we are watching them fall asleep. We’re usually asleep by 10pm so we can start the routine again the next morning so a good night’s sleep is important. That and we typically have company around 1am when out English bulldog gets lonely and decides she wants to snuggle with us which may not help our sleep but is pretty cute 🙂

    An important point for me from their website is that it relieves pressure points and prevents joint pain and it comes in a king or cali king size. I have never had a king or cali king before but that’s what I want so that there’s enough space for everyone.

To help me fall asleep I always visualize the details of something, like what I will wear to my best friends wedding next month, or how I would design a cabin in the woods, or what I will pack for lunch tomorrow.     My bed has become the sacred space in my day. Despite whatever drive or chaos the day hands me, I know that making it to my bed there will be a quiet place for me to decompress from the day. I start by drinking CALM (powdered magnesium supplement), brushing my teeth and then washing my feet! I know it sounds a bit odd but something about washing all of the day off of my feet and not bringing that into my bed not only feels better physically but it has somehow translated into a figurative leaving behind of the day. I never used to have a nightly routine but years of insomnia and some good advice helped shaped this nightly routine. A good mattress is priceless. I love what Eve offers!     Interesting – I have had my eye on the Casper mattress and have never heard of the Eve mattress until this post. Now I’m holding off on buying a Casper. Each night, I look at my “did I do my best” chart where I rate myself on a scale of 1-10 on my daily goals. I use it to keep myself on track every day for making my bigger dreams come to fruition. For example, I rate myself on: did I do my best to enjoy each activity with presence and joy; or, did I do my best to workout, did I do my best to do or say something nice to someone, etc.. Then, I meditate (strange to do it at night, but it works for me). 😉 Cheers!

Therefore I love coming home after a long day, to eat some dinner while I relax in bed, then I read, play some light music and go to sleep.     I don’t really have a nighttime ritual but my dog does. She gets tired around 9:30, taps relentlessly until I give her a treat (she loves fruits and veggies so it’s usually sweet potato, Apple, or banana) then snuggles into the sofa and whimpers until I turn it on, she will continue to whimper unless I change the TV to HGTV or a music program, she immediately starts snoring after that. Around 11pm she wakes up and taps on the door for a treat and drink, then she has a bathroom break followed by another treat, at this point she can barely stay awake so she just blinks at me until I ask if she wants to go to bed. Once in bed she starts licking both my hands then cleans her own paws and immediately falls asleep snoring. I usually end up snuggling next to her and eventually fall asleep too. So I guess my nighttime ritual is to follow my dog’s ritual.

    My nighttime ritual involves trying to get my wild 8-month-old to fall asleep and stay asleep before midnight.     My ritual includes racing my boyfriend to get ready for bed (brush teeth/face…etc.) because i dont want to be the last one in bed to shut the light off! I also have a collection of about 6 glasses of water that go untouched but everynight i fill a new one…just in case i get thirsty!

    I always take a shower before bed. It cleans the day off. I usually take my time brushing my teeth and putting on my creams.

    I see it as bed-time prep, but also as a winding down ceremony.

    When I crawl into clean sheets I feel fresh and grateful.

    I’m usually so happy to be in bed kick my feet around, rubbing the bottom fitted sheet. I high-five myself psychologically.

    I ususally start by watching a Suits episode on Netflix, brush my teeth and once I feel really tired head into my bed. Because I suffer from migraines and don’t have as of now an appropriate mattress and pillow and always push back in time the moment where I have to go to bed, because sleeping often triggers my migraine. My routine mostly consists in relaxing, breathing and just having a peaceful moment 🙂

    Bedtime routine: my husband and I brush our teeth together and he stretches while I do knee exercises. Then we either read in bed or scroll through our phones (its about 50/50) while our dog is wedged between us. My husband falls asleep first (after complaining about our current mattress at least once) and I usually stay up for another half an hour. When lights go out, dog moves to her own bed.

    My night time routine is a bit wonky, because I’m a serious night owl. For the last few months, I can count on one hand the last time I went to bed before the sun came up.

    Anyway, my routine looks a little something like:

    At about 6am, I’ll start wrapping up my work, sending off any emails that are required and making sure that everything is prepped and ready to go for when I wake up. After that, I’ll usually jot down my brand new to-do list and make notes about appointments etc. that I have for when I wake up. After that, I’ll take a shower and then head to the balcony with a cup of tea and my journal. I’ll watch the sun come up over the mountain (the view from my easy chair is extraordinary) and pen a couple of words—usually a brief story of some kind, since I’m a professional writer—and then head off to bed, usually with a sleeping mask!

    It’s cold all the time where I live, limited sun constant starlight and the stillness of nature breaks when ice and snow crack, creak, slip and melt. I tend to warm myself up with a few dozen jumping jacks in my fur onesie, just to break the bite of the frozen air. The flannel sheets warmed in places by the hot water bottles nestled between the sheets. I often don a fur cap with ear flaps to sleep in, which always makes me chuckle as it feels like I’m aviating into my dreams. The silence is loud, so I turn on the record player and I have a catalog of Jacques Costeau recordings of whale sounds that help me drift into a long slumber. I have a small flashlight next to me and I shine it on the crystals I hung in the window, watching them cast their dancing light on the ceiling. The dog is on the floor, paws twitching like he’s chasing polar bears again, but I like to think he’s dreaming of the beach and getting a tan on his pink nose. Lights out, whales croon, and off we slip into abstract facets of our subconscious. Night DLF.

    First, I like to take a nice hot shower to help me relax from the day. Second, I’ll moisturize my face and body (gotta keep those wrinkles away!) Third, I’ll lay in bed and do some social media browsing while listening to some chill tunes on Spotify. Finally, once I’ve gotten all snuggly in my bed I close my eyes and pass out. The one problem is that my new bed feels like cardboard. Seriously, this thing is rock hard and an incredible bed like this would be AMAZING! I’d probably pass out as soon as my butt hit the mattress =)

    I’d say my night time ritual is pleasant, but its far from it! Most nights I’m trying to nudge my wife onto her side of the bed because her elbow is jabbing me in the back. So after 20 minutes of nudging her over to her side I finally lay on my back as I toss and turn till I become comfortable. Unfortunately, my tossing and turning wakes my wife up and then the whole 20 minute nudging process begins again! After all that is said and done, I like to crack open a book and read till I get drowsy. Despite the nightly war for mattress space, I love my wife and she’s the best part of the night!

I have a Bible that is in chronological order and divided into days so you can read it in 1 year.     to be honest, my nighttime ritual has gotten quite amazing over the past few months. my skin has become very sensitive in my recent years so washing, moisturizing and treating my face has been important before bed. I also started meditating with an awesome app called headspace, I wrote shortly after that then I read a little bit of my bible and fall asleep. its the best way to fall asleep and helps reset my mind so that I can be ever more ready for the next day.

    I’ve lately really enjoyed developing my nighttime ritual as a way to destress and process the day. I write in a journal and read a bit, use a face oil and a rose face mist, do some light stretches, and spritz my pillow with lavender mist to send me off to dreamland!

    I don’t have a consistent nighttime schedule, though that’s always seemed like something I should work on. Sometimes I’m working late, sometimes it’s a glass of wine and some tv, and sometimes I’m just so knackered, I hit the mattress like a ton of bricks!

    nighttime rituals start with our kitties! Around 11pm, they start to get ready for their midnight snack, and meow and meow and though we know they are hungry myself and my boyfriend sometimes don’t feed them for 5/10min because they are just so too cute! After cleaning our faces and brushing our teeth, myself or my main squeeze will get water for each other and I will usually apply moisturizer to his face in bed, because he always forgets. We sometimes read, and sometimes talk about our days, but the kitties always show-up and whoever gets the lasting cuddle the other is jealous. When one of us feels we are ready we tell the other we are “drifting into dream land”. Turning off the lights we say good night to each other, our cats and everyone we love “Good night Ben, Good night Mare, Good night mao and everyone we love”.

    I’m usually rushing around trying to accomplish more than I can finish before bedtime – laundry, litter boxes, work i’ve brought home, tomorrow’s lunch, etc. I always INTEND to wash my face, brush my teeth, brush my hair, take a bath, listen to some relaxing music, sniff some lavender oil, have a cup of sleepytime tea. But in reality my nighttime ritual has become this: feed the 2 rabbits, feed the 2 cats, put a load of laundry in the machine to wash over night, use a wet-wipe to clean my face, call the cats to the bedroom for bedtime (only one of whom listens and runs in & jumps on the foot of the bed 🙂 crawl under the covers and obsess about what i didn’t get done and what’s in store for tomorrow until i fall asleep.

    My husband and I usually cook dinner together (when he’s not in busy season for taxes) and then we lounge on the couch to talk about our days and catch up on tv shows or watch sports! Then we head to bed after relaxing with some candles and tea. 🙂

    It took me a long time to get settled in a new city after moving across the country with my pup. After long stressful days, nothing was more comforting than coming home, closing my door, and putting myself to bed. One exception… My brain would NOT shut off. Less sleep led to more stress and then on a trip home for a funeral, I hit a breaking point. After hours of sobbing my best friend showed me how to “say goodnight to the house”. Check that the doors are locked, blow out any candles, turn the lights off, mist a little clary sage water and tuck yourself in. This simple ritual changed my life. It turned down the noise in my brain and helped bookmark my day. Next morning, we woke the house up! Opened blinds and Windows, lit candles, put coffee on… Etc. I highly suggest you try it 🙂 So, a nice new mattress would help start this new year off with good sleep and on a good foot.

    My nightly ritual can change depending on my schedule, but currently every night when I get home i’ll wash my face, turn on my oil defuser with some lavender & stress away essential oils. Grab a good book (The E-Myth is currently on my night stand. I highly recommend it!) I usually put some peppermint lotion on my feet and give myself a foot massage. I work retail and my body is exhausted when I get home. I’ll read a chapter or two and normally fall asleep.

    This would so help out as we just moved to LA without any furniture from the far away Midwest! My nighttime routine includes nuzzling up with my chihuahua and watching an episode of a series I enjoyed in high school. There is something relaxing about the familiarity of shows like Roswell, The OC, Gossip Girl. Guilty pleasure but puts me right to sleep.

    My boyfriend and I just moved in together, and we slept on the floor for a few weeks because the movers couldn’t fit my old mattress through the front door. We finally got a cheap mattress, but would be super grateful for a legit adult mattress.

    We’re still getting used to each others’ bedtime rituals. We’re both writers working full time, so similarities in our nighttime rituals include making a giant burrito of blankets and hiding from the world, or curling up with our laptops to write, edit, and submit work. Sometimes we stay up all night doing this–I know many writers who work well from bed!

    I know that his back hurts a lot so it would help him a lot more than me. We’d definitely take some pictures of us writing and blogging if a new mattress came our way! #NoSleep but also we should probably try to sleep at some point.
