STYLE / 32

took these photos a few weeks ago when we were in atlanta (see full post here). i am always amazed at how photographer friends of mine all have such a different outlook on life when it comes to their work. i will walk into a room with two friends, both photographers, and they will shoot the same room and they are so drastically different. however it’s so easy for me to know which one shot which. art is so cool.

i am flying back from new york tomorrow. and i can’t tell you how excited i am to sloooooow my life down a little bit. arian and I are headed home (yep, that’s right, he’s coming home with me for christmas. big moves i suppose) to chicago and then on to my grandma’s farm in quincy, IL. a very small town where my email hopefully won’t even reach. actually that would probs stress me out. but i don’t have to check it as much, and that’s gonna be fun. aren’t you all excited to hibernate?

I love how in the first shot it looks like you are almost falling. I do appreciate the different perspectives photography can offer, mostly because it helps you to see the perspective of that person on life. Everyone should try shooting an entire day on digital film to see how they see the world. The results are amazing.

Max is so incredible! I also love how vision and art work – especially cool when you learn to embrace it!

Also, I know where Quincy is! We live in Chicago now, but I grew up in the ‘burbs and rode and showed horses, so I’ve been to a lot of the farm towns. 🙂

omg, love-love this post. And adore the point about the two photographers. It really is a goal of mine to make some art that I can show at some point and it’s those kinds of thoughts that really make it fun. xoxo and your pic comments are hilarious!
